Flanking Shawshank on the west is Clam Bayou. It is undergoing a renovation of sorts and I took a Sunday afternoon stroll there a few weeks ago.
To get there you have to pass this house which is for sale. It is one otiose Buckminster Fuller geodesic designs that was thought to be the future a few decades ago. Turned out they were too costly to build. Nice looking though, if you like igloos.
This was a creepy way to begin the walk.
Secluded park area. I don't think too many people come here.
These trees are all over down here.
A spillway that looked to have been built by sandbags, but harden with the elements. I suppose they could have been stones, don't know.
An odd mound in the middle of this area.
This tree had been taken over by a growth. Kudzu?
A bird of prey in its nest.
Little chicklets of prey.
An old heron that was slow moving and didn't seem to be bothered by me.
Tomorrow, more from the Sunday Walk.
