Herb was 18 or there about when his Seaton class posed for their group picture. He would soon be heading to Monmouth to begin college, and then, in a couple years, off to the Pacific to do his part in World War II.
Most in this picture I didn't know, of course, but I did know their kids. Boyd Henry had a kid who was part of our Church League softball championship team. Jim Unsworth had a couple kids who went to high school with us. Lawrence Shike may have had a brother who was part of our farming group when I worked for Uncle Ed.
The others? Assuming they were all 18 at the time are likely all gone now. 18 - their lives are all ahead of them, and as we peek back, their lives are spent. Hope they all found happiness or contentment.
