Labor Day weekend and most all of us have it off. We wanted to do something fun so booked a charter boat that went out to look for dolphins and then over to Shell Island for a while so we could wander around. It was really fun and even saw a couple of dolphins. Captain Dave and his buddy were a little cheesy with a touristy type schtick but were kind of funny. The boat looked like it survived the D-Day landing and Drew won a free bottle of water for knowing the name of the rear end of the boat. They slapped on some nautical music (including the Gilligan's Island theme music) and for the next 2 1/2 hours enjoyed the scenery of St. Pete, some exclusive property (including Gary Burghoff's house) and some really neat boats.
Mackenzie boarding, Brendan to the right and Captain Dave's 1st mate taking a swig of beer.
Having come from a long line of seamen, I enjoyed being back on the water.
Gotta do the jet ski thing someday.
Labor Day party boat.
The Don Cesar Hotel. very ritzy place down in Pas-A-Grille and also where Bon Jovi stays when he's in town.

Ah, nothing like the salt air to stir the cockles and mussels of love.
Neat sailing boat. When does a boat become a ship?
