Nancy finally got over her cold from the Illinois trip so, with fresh vigor, we decided to just take in downtown St. Pete on a hot October Saturday. After 10 days of being cooped up it was nice to get out.

This is an apartment building that would be really nice to sit on the front balcony and people-watch. I have no idea what the monthly rate is but I'm sure a former county employee couldn't handle it.

It was celebration week after the Rays clinched a playoff berth. The scandal is the woeful attendance figures for the best or second-best team in baseball. The experts claim the regional recession is the blame. But in fairness, the Rays have never drawn big crowds.
